Late breaking opportunity to 'demo' Kizomba:

Hey folks. This is exciting!

I got a call yesterday from Michelle Farley, another English teacher friend of mine up in Seoul. She's also in our casino rueda "Rueda Madness" group here on KISS.

Michelle has a great opportunity for me and whichever of you might want to....to do a brief 2 minute Kizomba demo at "Club TA" in Hongdae this Friday night.

She said she'd be happy to do it with me herself...or.....I could let one of you ladies do it with me.

I taught Michelle the basics of Kizomba a few months ago back when I still lived near Seoul and she also used to come to my casino rueda class. Since then she's been involved in lots of other activities.....theater and such. But she still loves dancing. She could do it with me butI thought, frankly, why not ask one of you ladies if you'd like to do it?

I think it would be lots of fun. We'll also get a video and it'll be great publicity for Kizomba in Korea. I also plan to do a press release, online, in the next day or two.

You're all equally capable of doing it so I'm giving you all the chance. First one to email or call me gets it. You'll just need to 'be there' and do it. That's it. 2 minutes and it's over.

Michelle informs me that the club is in Hongdae but it's actually closer to the Sangsu subway station. She sent me some directions which I can share with you as needed.

Michelle says the clientele there is young-ish, kinda educated and 'worldly'.....i.e. the 'artsy-fartsy' crowd. So I think they'll really like what they see with Kizomba.

I haven't picked the song yet but I will and it'll be something medium tempo. It'll have to be something with a nice melody and a cool groove too. I'll have something selected in the next day or two.

We won't need to do anything fancy. Just the simple stuff we already know. I think the music and the basic style will speak for itself. I'm really excited about it.

After that event I'll be heading over to Bahia Salsa Club, in another part of Hongdae, in case you'd like to accompnay me. They have a nice 'Bachata Night' over there on Fridays.

i'm hoping to make it for both the bachata and your class. have a friend visiting for the weekend, so i hope to convince her that we should include the dancing into our cycling weekend too.

Hi Kizombieros e Kizombieras:

I just wanna welcome Derick, Valdelia and Alexandra. Derick was at our workshop two weeks ago at Candela and did very well.

I suspect you've probably seen the announcement but I am doing another Kizomba Beginner workshop this coming Saturday, April 24, 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm at Candela.

Again, the cost os ZERO (i.e. free) so I hope you'll all come. Derick did tell me that he might have to be out of town so he probably won't be there. But, ladies.......grab once sharp guy you know and bring him along.

Kizomba isn't hard to learn at all and you'll love the music.

P.S. I'll be at Bahia Friday night for their Bachata night...if any of you would like to meet me there. They always have a nice friendly group of Koreans and the guys all dance very well.
