So how was the Salsa Congress? A lot of people? Was the weekend better than the usual dancing in Korea? Any noteworthy events? Any word on when the Seoul Congress will happen?

Sara, I went out dancing last night at Turn but most of the dancers were at the Daegu Salsa Competition. I need to satisfy my fix so what club is good for a Sunday night where the dancers are intermediate/advanced?

To Salcero, I search YouTube for Korean salsa videos and get some but you'd get more search results if the main language you were using was Korean, of course. Most other websites with Korean salsa videos are in Korean.

As for getting dances, if you're a guy and you're fine with doing all the asking then it shouldn't be a problem to get partners. As for foreign women, they might have to ask in the beginning because Koreans often dance only with people they know. If you're a regular at the clubs though and become friendly with them, many people you've danced with before will initiate dances or at least be very happy to dance with you. Well, that's speaking as a woman!:D

I'll work on the websites. If you don't know Korean dancers, it's not hard if you're the one to ask, which is obviously easier if you're a male. Once people see how you dance, they won't hesistate to dance with you, so long as you are extremely respectful. It's a little stuffier here than in other places, at least in my observation.

I have 2 questions: does anyone have any good websites for videos of Korean dancers? Is it difficult for non-Koreans to walk into Korean clubs and dance with Koreans if they don't know you?

No, I mean today Wednesday. I guess it was early in the a.m. when I wrote it, but it was still Tuesday night for me.

That's right! Hey if you feel like practicing a little on 2 tomorrow night, Kim and I are going to Top in Apgujeong. There are usually a handful of foreigners there. Starts around 8:30, goes til around 11:30. I believe Willman's coming too. Music's sometimes awesome, sometimes iffy.
